On May 27 in Kiev VII international conference “Protection of Democratic Values and Compliance with Human Rights in the Activities of the Special Services” is held.

The key topic of this year’s conference is “Russian aggression against Ukraine as a fundamental threat to freedom, democratic values and human rights: Ukrainian, European and global context.” The program of the conference involves, in particular, the discussion of the historical and political conditions of Russian aggression, the role of its intelligence and media, mechanisms of counteraction to “hybrid war” conducted by Russia against Ukraine.

Co-organizers of the conference are the National Institute for Strategic Studies, the NATO Liaison Office, Information and Documentation of NATO in Ukraine, the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces.

The conference will be attended by experts of Ukraine’s security sector, non-governmental and international organizations and partner intelligence services.

The event starts at 10.00 at National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” (Building 1, Hryhoriya Skovorody street, 2).
