This is said in a statement of the head of the Ukrainian side in the Joint Center for Coordination and Control Major General Borys Kremenetskyi, released on 25 October.

“Despite significant efforts of the Ukrainian side regarding observance of silence at the contact line, militants of the illegal armed formations cynically continue to ignore the ceasefire,” – he said.

According to Kremenetskyi, members of the illegal armed groups demonstrate aggression and perform provocative shelling of the ATO forces with small arms, heavy machine gun and grenades, trying to provoke soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to open fire and violate of the Minsk agreements.

“Recently, the number of provocative attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces has increased. In particular, over the last day situation on the boundary line has undergone a certain tension. The situation is particularly tense in the area of ​​the Donetsk airport and Pisky town where pro-Russian militants shelled our positions in several directions,”- he said.

Kremenetskiy said that shelling was stopped only at 3:30 at night, after persistent appeals of the head of the Ukrainian side in the Joint Center to the Russia’s representative with the requirement to use “traditional” impact on militants for the purpuse of following the ceasefire.

The OSCE SMM was also informed about the attacks.
