During the presentation in the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center Maximilian Chuperski, Special Assistant to the President of the Atlantic Council and Elliot Higgins, founder of the Bellingcat project, told the history of the report, in particular, explained how they analyze open sources – maps, photos from social networks, satellite imagery and more.
The presentation noted that the main purpose of the report is to convey to the US and European allies the truth about the involvement and role of Russia in the war in Donbas.
“More and more people are beginning to make sure that the events in the east of Ukraine is Russia’s aggression. This is an important step in order to start an honest debate about the conflict and find a political solution to it. Our report is intended to make clear to the USA and European allies that it’s necessary to go for stricter sanctions and provide more support for Ukraine, possibly even lethal weapons “- said Maximilian Chuperski, Special Assistant to the President of the Atlantic Council.
